Following the changes to the NMC standards for Midwifery practice assessments, the PARE team have introduced a new feature to support the assignment of a year-long practice assessor to the learner's MORA document (Midwifery Ongoing Achievement Record). HEI Senior Administrators for Midwifery learners can link the Practice Assessor to the learner's document via a new 'Year-Long Assessor' item on the front page of the MORA document. Clicking on the item opens a pop-up for entry of the Practice Assessor's account email ID. Learners also have access to link a Practice Assessor via this item, and the feature is to be extended in the future to enable Senior Placement Administrators to assign the year-long practices assessors for the Midwifery learners on placement at their organisation.
This is a message on behalf of Health Education England. Please

A new and improved customer support system will replace email support requests to the PARE team (info@onlinepare.net email address) from 1st April 2022 for all our PARE customers. Customers who have already moved on to the new system as part of the recent pilot project will continue with the new system.
Following recent feedback, the PARE Team have made formatting improvements to the placement evaluations and associated reports. Students may notice a minor change in formatting. The updates do not impact upon the overall placement ratings and relate only to the ‘PARE’ question set used primarily in the North West (i.e. not the NETs evaluation question set).

We have discovered that some users were unable to access PARE during the night of the 14th January.
Most learners using PARE can evaluate their practice placement
via a set questionnaire with the PARE system.
There are currently two question sets, The NET survey (Primarily
used in Yorkshire and the Humber) and the PARE multiprofessional question set,
used in the Northwest and beyond.
The PARE multiprofessional question set has been reviewed, condensed,
and aligned to the learning environment audit process by a multiprofessional
steering group. The changes take effect for placements that start on or after,
1st January 2022. The new evaluation questionnaire will be available on PARE in early January.
For those users who use the evaluation report functionality,
we would like to remind analysts that report summaries are therefore not
comparable across 2021 and 2022. The report filters will be altered to take
account of both pre and post question sets. Individual reports will be required
for programmes with placements that span 2021 and 2022.
We have had several trusts email to ask if the PARE system uses any software processes affected by the recently Log4j security vulnerability.
We have completed a thorough review of our IT infrastructure and can assure all users that LOG4j is not installed on any of our IT systems.

Please see below for an initial message from the EELE Project. Further updates will be a link to a further blog update rather than the full content (https://northwestpracticeeducationgroup.wordpress.com/).
Enabling Effective learning Environments (EELE) September 2021
In September
2019 Health
Education England (HEE) outlined, in their Quality Strategy, a need for
improved clinical placement education systems where healthcare education and
training is well-led, effectively managed and provides supportive learning
environments. Regional funding was allocated to be used across all healthcare
professions with the agreement to plan and deliver a series of projects to
fulfill the core elements of Enabling Effective Learning Environments. The
NW region had a real opportunity to bridge the gap left when traditional
modules used to prepare Educators, across all practice, were no longer available and
instead develop innovative multi-professional online learning materials to
prepare our educators, recognising that supporting and assessing learners
adopts the exact same principles across all Nursing, Midwifery and Allied
Health Professions.
The Northwest
Practice Education Group (NWPEG) embarked on an ambitious plan to develop a
multi-professional framework for educators and are the main Stakeholder group for
the EELE project. University of Salford and have created a dedicated team to
lead the project; (Prof Jacqueline Leigh, Jill Windle Programme Manager, Dr
Christina Vasilica and Sumaila Asuru. The overall aim was to develop a multi-professional
framework for Educators by producing an education programme that can be flexibly
delivered, and on a platform that can be accessed, providing the consistency of
supervision and assessment faculty development across all organisations and a
range of roles and responsibilities.
A Steering
Group was established in February 2021 with representation from a wide range of
professional groups, HEI’s and organisations from across the northwest region.
This ‘Task and Finish’ have been working hard to design creative and interactive
digital learning content that is currently being used by our Learning
Technologists to produce a series of bitesize units of learning that will make
up the final EELE NW Multi-professional framework .
What next: During the
next few weeks the bitesize units of learning will be developed, reviewed, and
tested ready for release in the autumn. The learning materials have been
designed to prepare practitioners new to the Educator Role which will include
those new to their professions as well as experienced staff who have missed out
on training for this role in the past. The materials are also designed as a
useful means of updating knowledge and skill for experienced Educators. The
learning materials will be housed on the HEE Learning Hub and accessible to professional
groups across the Northwest Region.
As we progress with this final stage of the
programme, we want to keep all our Educators and potential educators informed
and have launched ‘Be a NW Educator’ campaign, please follow our
progress and keep up to date with and future Blogs by following @NWPEG1 on
twitter.

PARE currently allows for a clinical educator to sign an entry by using a single mobile device whilst the student is logged. This improves convenience when a single device is being used.
Recent enhancements to the list of learner disciplines on PARE includes validation to ensure that notifications for negative evaluations and PAR document issues are filtered according to the disciplines selected on the PARE account profiles of Placement Senior Administrators.
Due to the amount of uncertainty and change to placement and clinical educator allocations brought about by the pandemic in early 2020/21 academic year, many of the auto-notifications relating to allocations and assessment progress were switched off following placement provider requests.
PARE is preparing to launch a set of improvements to the reporting functionality. This will include a much greater ability to report on specific placement and user groupings linked to your personal "My Groups" settings.
With the advent of Allied Health Professional Return to Practice (RTP) Programmes, PARE now hosts a multi-professional version of the RTP document. This means that RTP is no longer associated to NMC programmes, and clinical educators and university staff are reminded to ensure that have selected 'Return to Practice' in the list of disciplines within their profile in order to be able to access RTP learner documentation.
All Placement Senior Administrators and Placement Educator Leads on PARE now have access to a list of the PARE account email addresses for each placement to which they have access, in the one handy pop-up screen.
If you are a Placement Senior Administrator and have recently been granted temporary access to one or more students' PAR documents, you may now view these documents all in the one location.
Following the take over of North West Boroughs Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust (NWBH) by Merseycare NHS Foundation Trust on 1st June 2021, all former NWBH placements are now under Merseycare on PARE.
The Wigan and Leigh placements are under the Greater Manchester Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust (GMMH).

HEI staff with the placement coordinator role on PARE now have access to a new feature for viewing and adding other documents to a learner account, i.e. documents in addition to the main assessment documents, that are assigned for the duration of the learner's course. This includes documents such as the Ongoing Achievement Record OAR) for Nursing and Nursing Associates.
To support the unprecedented changes to placements during the pandemic, and as requested by HEIs, PARE registered practice assessors can now gain assessment
access to a students’ previous placement documentation.
This will enable access to skills assessments and other key pages for
placements that were only partly completed or deferred altogether, which still
need to be completed and signed off by staff verifying the achievements in a
later placement.
For Nursing & Midwifery programmes, the practice educator must have
their permission level set to Practice Assessor on their PARE account profile
and will need to be assigned temporary access to the document by the student or
HEI staff, if not already allocated to the student.

As PARE continues to develop, increasing numbers of professional
groups are using the system. To improve usability
and functionality, all users will shortly be asked to confirm their own professional
background within their profiles and re-confirm the learner professional groups
they are currently working with.
In addition, users will also notice several multiprofessional
programmes being incrementally added to the learner support list. Regardless of your own profession, if you are
acting as a clinical educator for a learner on one of the multiprofessional
programmes, please visit your profile and ensure the required programme is selected. Thank you.
The PARE team are delighted at the level of interest for the
lunchtime training session on Tuesday 27th April.
However the number of registrations has now reached 50. As such the Registrations is now closed for this event.
For those of you who have successfully registered - you will receive your joining instructions on the morning of 27th April.
For those of you who missed out this time - the
registration process will open 1 week in advance of the next advertised session. Please check the HELP/ Updating Training
Dates page for the Registration button nearer the time.
HEI staff may now grant temporary Practice Assessor/Educator access to practice staff, for access to students' assessment documents, for four weeks access durations. The use of this facility is at the discretion of both HEI staff and practice staff colleagues.
The Grant Temporary Access Feature is accessed via the Document Settings link at the top of the front page of the assessment documents. The temporary access pop-up window now includes a tick box for HEI staff to 'Give this person practice assessor/educator access rights to this document'.
During the pandemic the NMC have taken the decision to allow the same RN to act as Assessor and Supervisor for a single student. The PARE code has been altered to allow this. However, this relaxation does not mean that supervisor level RNs can be assigned as an Assessor, and sign Assessor designated summative pages within a Nursing or Midwifery Document.
All North Manchester General Hospital (NMGH) placements that are currently listed under Pennine Acute Hospitals NHS FT on PARE, will be moved across to Manchester University NHS FT (MFT) on Thursday, 1st April 2021. The new MFT NMGH placements are listed on PARE , along with the new PR Codes.
Now that the last of the programmes based on the old 2012 NMC Standards are coming to a close, there is no longer a need to retain the 2012 annual update and triennial review data fields within a practice educators profile.
The PARE team are pleased to advise you that a programme of online training has been posted on the HELP funciton of your Dashboard (https://onlinepare.net/training-dates.php).

The PARE system now allows all Academic Link account holders to give temporary access to any previous Practice Assessors/Supervisors/Educators who might need to sign off any outstanding paperwork for a student. To enable this action, you simply need to :-
•
open the student document
•
click on the Document Settings link in the top right corner of the Front
Cover page,
•
beside each of the Practice Assessor names listed will be a Grant Temporary Access button, just select the appropriate name.
• If you do not see the name of the Practice Assessor/Educator listed then you will be able to put their email address in the blank field at the bottom of this pop-up box and this will give temporary access to the staff concerned.
This will allow the Educator an extra 14 days of access to the student document.
In order to identify the second wave of healthcare students volunteering for non-supernumerary roles within practice, all Nursing and Midwifery student profiles that have the C19 Opt-In indicator selected, from January 18th 2021 onwards, will have a C192 tag displayed against their name on PARE. Students who were tagged as C19 Opt-In prior to this date will have a C191 tag displayed.
In order to tag a student as C192, who is
currently tagged as C191, then untick the C19 Opt-In indicator box
in the student profile, to remove the C191 tag, click Save, and then
re-tick the box to apply the C192 tag and save again.
An updated version of the PARE Timesheet Learner Guide is now available from the students PARE dashboard. The Guide includes details of all the latest timesheet features including:
An updated version of the PARE Timesheet Learner Guide is now available from the students PARE dashboard (see link below). The Guide includes details of all the latest timesheet features including:
All programmes and professions with online student assessment documentation on PARE now have access to Mark Sheets. As previously noted in an early Newsfeed item, the new style Mark Sheets amalgamate all hours from both old and new versions of PARE timesheets and support the latest Pan North/Pan Midlands Nursing PAD. In addition, the timesheet display on a student's PARE dashboard has enhanced features:
In order to meet requests for user-specified course year allocation for online PARE documentation, the course year that is applicable for a placement allocation can now be managed, and amended by placement coordinators if required, where timesheet only records exists. Should the programme year, in which a timesheet was completed need to be changed, then this can now be achieved via the Edit Placement Allocation pop-up screen.
Following the launch of the new style timesheets, to support multiple activity recording and other enhanced features, the recording of nightshift activities can now be recorded so that the hours are entered for the exact day for which the activity took place.
To record a nightshift which spans two days ( for example 19:30 to 00:00 on Monday and 00:00 to 07:30 on the Tuesday), the shift will therefore be entered as a separate entry for each of the days. The hours up until midnight are entered as an activity for the first day that the night shift falls on, whilst the hours that are completed after midnight, are entered as an activity for the following day,
This will enable accurate recording of complete practice hours on a daily and weekly basis, where these hours include night shift hours. The nursing and midwifery programmes
on PARE have now all been switched to an improved Mark Sheet format.
PARE professions such as nursing associates, physiotherapy, SLT etc., are due to have access to the improved Mark Sheets within the next few days. The new Mark Sheets are based on a similar format to the original reports, but with numerous enhancements including:
Student Dashboard Programme Totals
The switch over to the new programme
totals display, on student dashboards, is also due from the middle of next
week. The new display will incorporate the hours from the new PARE timesheets,
and will display both student and university hours to ensure consistency and
clarity where appropriate.
In support of HEI guidance in response to the Covid19 emergency, the reduction of some higher access level restrictions for practice staff data entry and sign off for PARE documentation continues in place. Access to sections/signatures that are normally restricted to the main clinical educator, such as the allocated Practice Assessor for the nursing profession, is currently open to additional placement staff with an appropriately validated PARE account.
The PARE team are following the national Covid19-related developments closely and will communicate further PARE updates to the emergency response, including reintroduction of the standard access restrictions, as and when instructed by HEIs.
We have created a new report function on PARE, which allows HEIs
and placement organisations to run the quarterly reports of student practice hours for HEE.
The report has a range of date, profession, and placement Organization filters and can be found via the main Reports tab on Senior HEI Administrator and PEF dashboards, then by selecting Learner Hours Completed from the left hand side tabs.
The report page explains that although the report gives the placement start and finish dates, the report hours given, are only for the from and to, filter dates requested.
We hope this will meet everyone's needs. We are aware of the importance of this data, and have extensively tested the accuracy of the filter system. However due to the short timeframe for the report development, and the multiple cohort variables involved, please review the outputs are as you would expect and, as always, feedback is gratefully received.
Following the recent launch of the new style PARE timesheets, the new timesheets have now been rolled out to all nursing, midwifery and nursing associate programmes and will be available to students as they start on new placements. The new timesheet will be rolled out to the remaining programmes over the next couple of weeks.
The timesheets continue the existing time-recording activities, but with enhanced design features including the facility to record more than one activity per day, an auto-save feature to save data as it is input, and the auto-creation of timesheet weeks on the assignment of the timesheet to a student’s placement. The days of the week display vertically, and the display of individual weeks can be expanded or minimized as required.
The new timesheets are accessed via the new 'Timesheets section' of the student's PARE dashboard, above the original Practice Record of Attendance section for those students who have the original PARE timesheet for earlier placements.
Please see the New PARE Timesheet Learner Guide (link below) for further details. Full guidance is also available in the PARE Learner Guide, available via the PARE dashboard ‘View User Guides’ link.
With the introduction of the new style timesheets, for TNA students, the system manages them slightly differently to the old timesheets that were in use prior to 31st August.
Consequently, they can now be found on your PARE
Dashboard in the block labeled Timesheets. To access your current new timesheet, just
click the appropriate link within this block .
New style timesheets have now been launched on PARE,
starting with the new timesheet for the apprentice nursing associate
programmes. The new timesheet has been developed with maximum flexibility in
mind, in order to support new features that have been requested by the PARE user
community. In particular, the new style timesheet supports the time recording
for more than one activity per shift. The timesheets have been designed to be
very intuitive to use and continue existing functionality, whilst supporting
new features:
There are numerous timesheet settings that are customisable for the new timesheets, such as the title for signatures (Practice Supervisor/Assessor, Practice Educator, or Clinical Educator, HEI Academic Advisor, HEI Tutor etc), the sub totals that may be required for certain activity types, whether sign off is required for recorded hours to be included in totals, and so on. The PARE team will be sending communications to the leads of each programme, as the new timesheets are rolled out, in order to determine the settings required for each programme.
HEI Senior Administrators now have the facility to locate a placement on PARE, by searching across all placements within a specified region, and without first having to select an organisation.
Following the successful launch last year of
the preceptoring programme on PARE for nursing preceptees, the preceptoring
document is now available on PARE for radiography preceptees.
PARE Senior Administrators with access to the
education accounts for their organisation may now manage radiography preceptees
accounts and assignment of the preceptoring document. Please note that all PARE
users who require access to the radiography preceptee documentation on PARE,
including Senior Administrators, must have radiography selected as a profession
that they work with on PARE, in their PARE account profile.
Further AHP preceptees are planned for inclusion in the precpetorship project following further evaluation and Health Education England direction.
The PARE team have noticed a slight issue for users who regularly use Internet Explorer 11 to access PARE. Currently, when viewing 'pop-up' pages on PARE, such as when Mentors attempt to view their own Self Declaration, there should be additional scroll bar that allows them to scroll all the way down to the page.
The Mark Sheets now include a C19 Opt-In Students filter. HEI Senior Administrators and Academic Links may select this option on the Mark Sheet for a selected profession and cohort, to display the report for the C19 Opt-In tagged students only.
The latest version of the PARE User Guides (version 1.1) is now available via the 'View User Guides' link from your PARE Dashboard.
HEI Senior Administrators now have the facility on PARE to grant temporary access to practice assessors/educators for timesheet sign off, where access has expired for the practice assessor/educator.
PARE has been asked to help universities keep track of 2nd and 3rd Year healthcare students volunteering for non-supernumerary roles within practice.
There is now a link on both a users dashboard and within the Help tab to updated PARE user specific guides.
With the advent of the Nursing and Midwifery Council Emergency Standards varying normal practice assessment requirements, the PARE system will be temporarily altered to allow:
Exceptionally an Assessor can undertake the supervisor role for the same learner if required.
The inclusion of a drop down menu to allow students moved outside of a PARE serviced area to record the name and contact details of a non-PARE account holder in place of a PARE registered supervisor signature. This can then be checked / countersigned at a later date if required.
Time sheets no longer require verification signatures for the hours to be added to a student’ total during the emergency measures period. (This allowance to be used only when essential).
During a time of rapidly developing responses within university and placement provider organisations, please be assured that steps have been taken to ensure PARE services will be maintained.
PARE has just released an additional feature for Academic Links
who also act as Academic Assessors (e.g. Midwifery, Nursing, and Nurse
Associate Programmes). In the same way that the PARE system builds a
portfolio record of all assessment episodes and signatures for placement
clinical educators’ PARE now provides the same automatic portfolio function to
University Academic Assessors.
You can view your portfolio by clicking on your profile tab (top right of screen) and accessing a configurable report on your activity.
If you do not work as an academic assessor (or have yet to
be allocated any students) you will not see this function in your profile. If you ahve already been an active academic assessor, you can also access anonymised
records of any assessments / interactions recorded to aid as evidence for re-validation,
although no name redacting programme is infallible, so careful checking is essential
by the user. Finally, Senior HEI
administrators can now access a report on academic assessor activity to aid
workload planning. Go take a look!
To cater for differing types of placement settings and collaborative training groups across organisations, Placement Educator Leads (Team managers) are now restricted to viewing the educator register for their area of responsibility only, and not the entire organisation. The organisation level view is now restricted to the Senior Placement Administrator.
We are please to announce an exciting new development on PARE:
Placement groups will be available on PARE from 3rd February 2020.
This feature will be available to HEIs and Trusts/PIVOs.
We have created pre-loaded placement groups for each HEI, this will contain all previous and current placements areas used by the specific HEI. HEIs now have full control over their placement groups. HEIs can also create custom groups, alongside the existing pre-loaded placement groups. There are no restrictions on the number of groups that can be added.
Placement Senior Admins (PEFs) are also able to create and manage their own placement groups. Groups can be setup per site, per department or in any other custom layout. Placement areas can be in multiple groups.
One very useful feature is the ability to link to groups. Once a Placement Senior Admin has linked to a group (or multiple groups) , they will only receive notifications relating to student activities on their linked placements area.
In order for HEI Senior Admin users on PARE to
be able to identify and manage apprentice Trainee Nursing Associate learners on
PARE, the Manage Users screen now displays an ‘A’ symbol against the learner’s
name to indicate ‘Apprentice’ (see screenshot below). The learner’s PARE
profile will also display an Apprentice flag (Yes or No) when viewed by an HEI
Senior Admin user.
The apprentice flag is automatically set to Yes
when ‘Apprentice’ is specified as the Sub Type in the learner placements (or
leaners only) csv data upload file, and where Nursing Associate is specified as
the learner’s profession, else it defaults to No.
On Friday 3rd January between 15:00 and 16:00, the PARE system will be undergoing routine upgrading. Users may experience a few moments of restricted access whilst the change over occurs.
For the same reason, we recommend that if typing significant text into documents during that period, that you frequently save to reduce the risk of data loss during a system re-boot.
There is now a more convenient way for users with managerial responsibility to review educator registration data held within PARE.
During the transition from the PPQA to PARE system within the York and Humber region, we recently migrated a substantial dataset into the relevant placement profiles.
Each educational establishment has a number of HEI Senior Admin accounts that have the additional permissions which allows the user to upload student placement data and allows for management of placements.
This level of access has formerly been referred to as ‘Data Coordinator’, but this term is now replaced by ‘Placement Coordinator’
To help
identify these account holders within the organisation, each Placement Coordinator now has a P ( in a blue circle) by their entry on the Manager Users staff list.
When they

their account :-
HEI Senior Admin users, with the appropriate access
permissions, now have a new facility to upload learner records only on to PARE,
i.e. leaner records without the associated placement data.
There is a new template CSV file for data upload, ‘template_students_only.csv,’ in addition to the existing data upload CSV file (for learner placement data uploads), and both can be accessed from the Import Data screen. This screen also contains a new PDF Help Guide for the importing of learner records (PDF also available via link below).

Up to now, a student assessment record could only be assigned to a Hub placement regardless of whether the student was scheduled to make one or more shorter visits as Electives or Spokes in that time period. As a result the Elective/ Spoke placement mentors could then only access the document and timesheet whilst the student was logged into their account.
Following some changes by the web developers, it will be possible for all aspects of a student record to be directly linked to each part of the placement, for all future uploads of student placement data. The benefits of this will be:-
To ensure this works seamlessly each university Placement /Practice Offices will need to ensure that when loading their .CSV files it:
The should help to improve the experience for the Spoke/Elective mentor and will help PARE team managers to identify where mentors still need PARE accounts to be created to them.

The University of Chester are hosting two meetings to review the initial phased introduction of the PARE system, from both the NHS and the Academic perspective.
All PEFs and Team managers in the North West are cordially invited to attend.
The dates are :-
The PARE team will be in attendance to address any PARE queries or issues.
To register your interest, and request a parking space, please contact Denise Dixon at d.dixon@chester.ac.uk.
We look forward to meeting up with you at one of these meetings.
The placements that were traditionally associated with the old NHS Western Cheshire Trust have now finally been merged with Cheshire and Wirral Partnership. All managers who previously had dual access to the two Trusts should now be able to access all placements from their PARE account without having to toggle between the two areas.
Paul Barber has now been appointed to the role of OnlinePARE Implementation Lead. Paul has over 40 years experience working as a nurse in the North West
and as a senior lecturer at the University of Chester.
Paul will be working two days per week for the OnlinePARE project. Paul's role will involve linking closely with Trusts/PVIs and universities to ensure a smooth roll-out of the online assessment process throughout the North West.
From early 2017, Paul will be holding regional training sessions for Trust staff and academics.
You can contact Paul by email: paul@onlinepare.net
We are pleased to announce the launch of the OnlinePARE App. The App is developed specifically for students who attend placement areas with limited access to WIFI and 3G/4G signal. The App will work without an active internet connection, while still offering the same functionality as the web version. Any document updates made by a student whilst offline will sync automatically once the student's device is connected the internet. The Android App can be found on the Google Play store. We have plans to develop an iOS version for iPhone & iPad in 2017.
We are in the process of a phased launch of the App. Currently, first year nursing students at Manchester Metropolitan University are using the app, with other universities and courses to follow in early 2017.
We have released a new feature aimed at saving time for university placement offices. Importing CSV files can be time consuming and requires placements name to match ours. Now there is another option, by using our placement ID in place of the trust and placement it will automatically populate those fields.
You can view our placement IDs in the placement manager. For more information about this new feature please email us: info@onlinepare.net
We have added a new section under the User tab to enable PEFs to manage their placement areas more efficiently.
We have extended the number of help guides and videos available to students, trust/PVI staff and universities. We have also made these resources easier to find.
Some of these improvements include:
HEI staff and PEFs now have the ability to print a quarterly report for all placements in their trust/organisation based upon all students that attended a placement their during the 3 months of that quarter.
You can now download any page in your online practice document.
HEI and Trust staff can now download a statistical report to PDF.
On your dashboard, you can now download your full practice document as a whole.
Students are now able to download a certificate of placement as a PDF file which highlights that they have completed an evaluation of their practice learning experience whilst on their hub placement.
The Online Practice Assessment Record for Cheshire and Merseyside Student Nurses has now reached the Alpha stage of development, and will be functionality tested by a small group of students and mentors from Chester University and Edge Hill University before being formally piloted in some areas from September 2015.
The PARE team are also developing multi-professional versions of online practice assessment documentation for professions such as Physiotherapy, Midwifery and Social Work, used in a number of Universities such as UCLan, Salford, and Manchester. The aim is to have the first of these documents online by November 2015, with a rolling programme of development for other groups and universities thereafter.
If you require any further information on the above developments, please contact m.brownsell@chester.ac.uk or the PARE team.
It is sometimes hard to know what to do when students feel something isn't quite right on placement so we have now put together a detailed guide for learners to help students follow a procedure set out by Heath Education North West.
The Evaluation element of the PARE Tool has reached an exciting stage with three North West HEIs implementing the tool. Currently, University of Chester, Edge Hill and Salford University are introducing the tool to their nursing students.
From March 2015 two more North West organisations, namely University of Cumbria and Manchester Metropolitan will each be bringing up to two further cohorts of their nursing students online.
Liverpool John Moores University will be bringing their Nursing students online in May 2015.
We are delighted that two North West HEIs have introduced the Evaluation tool to the following AHP departments:
University of Salford: Introduced a cohort of Physiotherapy students to the tool in January 2015.
Edge Hill University: A cohort of Operating Department Practitioner students are intending to utilise the online evaluation tool during their May 2015 placement.
The PARE team are pleased to offer the following link which provides all academic and Trust staff with access to online training tutorials which cover all functionality within the Evaluation aspect of the tool. We ask that all PEFs and academic leads cascade this link to the staff involved in monitoring student placements to further their awareness and understanding of how to use the online tool.
Link to PARE training resources: Training Resources
The PARE team will be facilitating working groups involving North West AHPs from late February - July 2015 in order to bring their students online. Continuous updates from the PARE site will be directed towards Placement areas and the HEI Academic Links for each profession.
